How to Configure to Show the file extentions

To get your computer to show file extentions, go to your control panel. (Click on Start, then on control panel, or go to my computer, and click on the control panel. )

In the Control panel click on "Folder Options." This will open a window. In that window click on "View." (This is instructions for Windows XP. It may be different in another computer.)

Scroll down to "Hide extentions of known file types." MAKE SURE THIS IS UNCHECKED.

Click "Apply" and "Okay" and that should do it! Then you will be able to see the file extentions.
